Twilight

Fathers, husbands, brothers, and boyfriends STAY HOME!!!  Unless you want to score major brownie points for watching Twilight, go watch another movie that shows at the same time.

Eddy actually stayed home with the baby while Divina, our younger sister and I went to see the movie.

TWILIGHT is an action-packed, modern-day love story between a teenage girl and a vampire. Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) has always been a little bit different, never caring about fitting in with the trendy girls at her Phoenix high school. …

The modern day love story with a twist is about a teenager girl, Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) and a vampire boy, Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson).  The movie is based on the best selling series that concluded this past summer.

Twilight is a first book of the four series which is filled with fantasy, love, action, shape shifters and vampires.  We have our Bella Swan moving to a small town in Washington State and having her world completely changed after meeting the Cullen family.  Edward is supposed to be the most handsome guy you would ever set your eyes on with a very mysterious personality.

Once I got to know the Edward character in the book even I fell in love with him.  The book brought back the feelings of young love.  The idea of how nothing can come between you and your loved one, even if one is a vampire.

The second book Moon is said to already be in production for the big screen.

I personally fell in love with the books the same way I fell in love with the Harry Potter series. After reading the Harry Potter books and then watching the Harry Potter movies and being very disappointed.

I went into Twilight already assuming it wasn’t going to meet my expectations since the Harry Potter movies didn’t.  Twilight on the other hand did a decent job by sticking to the book.  This is coming from a Twilight fanatic who did not sleep until I finished reading the last book and will always be the harshest critic.

There were some parts that made me feel as though I was watching a corny teen movie.  I’m only 21 and I felt as though I was too old to watch the movie.  The 13 year old girls behind us were quoting the book line for line which caused me to giggle and realize maybe I’ve grown out of these teen love affair movies.  I’m not saying the movie isn’t worth seeing but just keep in mind of who its target audience is.  I can proudly say I have read and loved the books. There were some parts that were added and there were parts excluded from the movie which I thought were needed.

All in all it was entertaining but heed my warning, no boys allowed.
