I am one of three girls so I grew up in a world of dolls, tea parties, pink and magic. As a mommy to a very active little boy my life is now all about cars, sports, animals and magic.
So when I got the invite to the Goldberger Co. breakfast event during the 2010 Toy Fair I was very interested to find out what the latest and greatest was happening in the doll world.
Goldberger Co. is a family owned and run company that has been making toy for over 90 years! Their founder Eugene Goldberger actually cut patterns for the very first teddy bear!
Since 1917, the company has been at the forefront of toy innovation. Today, this American company focuses on toys for ages zero to three and is very proactive in consumer safety. They were one of the very first to use phthalate-compliant vinyl (safer plastic) prior to government regulations.
Eddy and I got a chance to talk to President Jeffrey Holtzman (pictured above with Eddy). He is married to Engene’s granddaughter and I was blown away with just how passionate he was about the products. The toys were so sweet, colorful and just perfect for young children. They make toys that children love but will also learn from.
Some of my favorites for the soon to be released 2010 line:
Peek-A-Boo Baby, (Age 1+ for $12.99) which actually plays “peek-a-boo I see you” when you close the doll’s eyes.
Seedlings (0+ for $12.99) which uses natural cotton fabrics.
All the products are so adorable but what makes this company phenomenal is their “Love it For Life” lifetime guarantee. Yes! Lifetime guarantee for a doll your children will love and take everywhere with them. So no matter where life takes your children and their favorite Goldberger doll you are covered.
I love Babyboy more than life itself but the Goldberger office with its polka dot walls and their cute products made me wish I had a girl! Luckily, since a little girl is not in the near future, Goldberger also has a line of bath toys that Babyboy will LOVE.
